An ambitious and occasionally cruel man with an unfortunate obsession with Loki variants.
I'm still working out the kinks, details, and timeline for this AU, but as it stands, some highlights:
-began as a minuteman, diligently and ruthlessly worked his way to being a hunter
-became something of a Loki specialist after several missions catching them, making a point to read files and keep notes of his own
-his stint as an analyst is comparatively brief but effective, ruthless and straightforward and always forefront on the field instead of behind a desk
-still very good friends with judge Renslayer, up to a point
-the point being that in his quest to keep climbing the ranks and knowing he was looked at favorably to be the next in line when a judge position opened up, he had a hand in orchestrating Renslayer's downfall with a conveniently botched mission and some surreptitiously planted evidence
-(Miss Minutes may or may not have had a hand in all of this, she's not telling)
-judge Mobius wastes little time in moving in, setting himself up to be top dog, and works very closely with Miss Minutes to make sure his position is secure
-(Miss Minutes may or may not be manipulating the entire scenario behind his back)
-(she's not telling)
-decides he likes the idea of trophies and has every right to some of his own
-spoilers: the trophies are Lokis
-there are plenty of empty cells and time theaters that don't get used often, and more get built as his collection slowly expands, each room fitted out to be what he likes to think of as a terrarium, everything his collection needs to flourish in as little space as possible
-(tell that to the Lokis who have to live in them indefinitely)
-while this Mobius is good at fighting, he's also still very good at talking and observing, and occasionally takes a liking to one of his Lokis in particular
-this tends to lead to him breaking them in in some fashion until they can safely be by his side without a constant threat of death or escape, like a pet
-look everyone thinks it's weird and fucked up but better to let him have his fun than get disappeared ok

-fastforward to post-s1/au s2, sylvie picks herself up off the floor and decides she's going to find loki and try her damnedest to fix things, only she ends up in this TVA
-finds mobius! he is sympathetic and wants to hear all about what happened!
-...until she twigs that something's wrong, and then she gets captured and thrown in her own little lokirarium
-the specific details are still a work in progress to be written out in fic form, suffice it to say it all ends in fire and mayhem and sylvie letting all of the variants loose and then nopes out to continue her search for Her Loki
-mobius? very unhappy. and thus he throws himself into the multiverse as his own tva burns down around him, in search of the variant that destroyed his life, and the variant she's looking for
